    The Oberlin College Department of Athletics and Physical Education extends its deepest sympathies to the family, friends, and players of former longtime Oberlin College baseball coach Adrian Abrahamowicz, who passed away on Sunday, August 21, after a courageous multi-year battle with cancer.
  • Three Spring NCAC Student-Athletes Earn NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships

    Three North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) spring student-athletes were named recipients of the prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. Wooster collected its fourth honoree of the 2021-22 season with softball senior Brooke Swain (Seville, OH/Cloverleaf), while DePauw baseball senior Kyle Callahan (Zionsville, IN/Zionsville) also marked the Tigers fourth selection this season. Also among the NCAA’s spring selections was Ohio Wesleyan baseball senior Davis Graham (Canton, OH/Jackson).

    The College of Wooster's Ben Gbur was one of the top all-around players in NCAA Div. III this spring, and the five-tool center fielder's superb defensive skills resulted in American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings Gold Glove honors, as announced by the coaching organization on Wednesday. Even more impressively, Gbur is the only four-year college player to earn both first-team ABCA/Rawlings All-America and ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove honors this year.

  • Wooster Baseball Bows Out in NCAA Super Regionals

    Wooster (34-16) fell 8-6 to Salisbury (35-9) in game one of the NCAA Division III Super Regionals. The Fighting Scots will face the Sea Gulls at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday for game two in a best-of-three series, needing to capture two victories to advance into the 2022 NCAA Baseball Championship Series.
  • Wooster Advances to NCAA Super Regionals; Denison Bows Out of Tournament

    Wooster (34-15) advanced to the NCAA Division III Super Regionals with 11-8 and 11-6 victories over Bethel (35-11) on Monday, while No. 13-ranked Denison (35-11) fell twice to No. 5-ranked Salisbury (34-9), 4-2 and 3-1, ending their season in the regional championships.
  • Denison Wins Record 18th NCAC All-Sports Title

    Denison won eight league titles in women's soccer, volleyball, men's swimming & diving, baseball, women's golf, men's lacrosse, men's tennis and women's tennis and posted 14 additional top-five finishes during the 2021-22 academic year to win its league-leading 18th North Coast Athletic Conference All-Sports Championship.

  • Denison Baseball Claims Third-Consecutive NCAC Tournament Title

    The Denison Big Red (33-9) captured the 2022 North Coast Athletic Conference baseball tournament title with an 8-1 victory over the Wooster Fighting Scots (30-14) in Game 7 on Sunday at VA Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe, Ohio. Wooster forced Game 7 after claiming a 5-4 victory in Game 6. The NCAC tournament title is the third-consecutive for Denison.
