Denison junior Jack Bulger produced a 3-0 record over the weekend, helping the Big Red to wins over No. 29-ranked Washington & Lee and Ohio Wesleyan. Bulger chalked up a 6-1, 7-5, win over the Generals at No. 2 singles, while pairing with Tim Cianciola (Canfield, OH/Canfield) to defeat W&L at No. 1 doubles, 8-2. Against Ohio Wesleyan, Bulger won at No. 1 singles in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.

Wabash sophomore Cole Borden recorded wins in both singles and doubles play Saturday to help Wabash to its first two victories of the season. He earned a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles in the morning match against Manchester after scoring a perfect 8-0 victory at No. 1 doubles. In the afternoon match against Capital, Borden and partner Liam Grennon (Concord, NH/New Braunfels) picked up an 8-4 win at number one doubles before finishing the day with a spotless record with a 7-5, 6-1, singles victory.

DePauw junior Thomas Partridge recorded wins at the No. 1 flight in both singles and doubles play over the weekend against Ohio Wesleyan and Centre. Against the Battling Bishops, he earned a 6-0, 6-0, win in singles after scoring a perfect 8-0 victory in doubles. Against the Colonels, Partridge picked up an 8-3 win in doubles before finishing the day with a 6-3, 7-5, singles victory.

Denison junior Marc-Lennart Harms went 3-0 last weekend, including two wins in a victory against No. 20-ranked Kalamazoo. At No. 2 singles, Harms won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2, after teaming up with Blake Eason (Kansas City, KS/Shawnee Mission East) to produce an 8-1 victory at No. 3 doubles. Against Hope, Harms produced a 6-2, 6-2, victory at No. 3 singles.

DePauw senior Wyatt Metzger picked up a pair of victories in the Tigers’ win over Wittenberg on Sunday. At No. 2 singles, Metzger collected a 6-3, 6-2, victory, after teaming up with Thomas Partridge (North York, Ontario/Royal St. Georges College) for an 8-5 victory at No. 1 doubles.

Denison freshman Ryan Patrick went 3-0 during the Big Red's spring break trip to the northeast. Patrick’s victories included wins at No. 4 singles against No. 13-ranked Wesleyan and at No. 5 singles against No. 9-ranked Brandeis. His singles victory against the Judges was the first win for Denison in the match after being down 4-0, which started a stretch of five straight singles victories to allow the Big Red to come back and win, 5-4.
|Tim Cianciola, Denison
Denison senior Tim Cianciola went 4-0 on Saturday with two wins at both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles, including going 2-0 in a sweep against No. 17-ranked, Carnegie Mellon. The senior helped No. 14-ranked Denison improve to 10-1 on the season while boosting his individual record to 9-1 in doubles and 8-2 in singles play.

Wooster junior Alex Drewes went 4-0 for the Fighting Scots as the team defeated Wabash and Wittenberg in non-conference action. Against the Little Giants, Drewes secured a 6-3, 6-1 No. 3 singles victory after earning an 8-3 win at No. 3 doubles. Against the Tigers, the junior won 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 at No. 3 singles and 8-1 at No. 2 doubles.

Denison sophomore Andy Mackler compiled an 8-0 week, going 5-0 in doubles and 3-0 in singles while helping the No. 13 Big Red improve to 17-1 overall with wins over Wittenberg, Capital, Asbury, Wabash, and DePauw. In singles, Mackler won twice at No. 4 singles and once in the fifth spot while also losing only seven games across his three matches. In doubles, he won twice in the No. 2 spot and three times in the No. 3 flight while he and has partner won without dropping a single game three times.

Playing at the third singles spot, Kenyon junior Thomas Kallarakal came back after a first set defeat to win against Denison, 2-6, 7-6 (9-7), 6-4. In doubles play at the No. 3 flight, Kallarakal teamed up with Rishil Kondapaneni (Cumming, GA/South Forsyth) to notch the lone doubles win against the Big Red, 8-6. Against Allegheny, the junior capped off a perfect 4-0 week with wins at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-4, and at No. 2 doubles, 8-6, with Kondeapaneni.
