March 21st

 
Joe Shilts, Wooster
(Flemington, NJ/Pringy School) 

Wooster junior Joe Shilts posted the top time from within the NCAC in the 400 hurdles at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational. Shilts placed ninth in the field of 36 with a time of 58.24.

 

 
Michael Ocasek, DePauw
(Northbrook, IL/Glenbrook North)

DePauw senior Michael Ocasek won the men’s 1,500-meter run at the Rose-Hulman Early Bird Invitational. Ocasek’s time of 3:59.63, edged out 33 other competitors and was the fastest time among NCAC athletes this season. The senior also posted a runner-up finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:03.09.

 
Isaiah Kidd, Wooster
(Henrico, VA/Varina)

Wooster first-year Isaiah Kidd was the top Division III finisher in the long jump at last week's Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational, posting a mark of 6.54 meters. He currently ranks No. 1 in the NCAC in the event.

Matthew Drovdlic, Wittenberg
(Hilliard, OH/Hilliard Bradley)

Denison junior Charlie Webb (West Chester, PA/West Chester East) posted a pair of top 2022 conference times in the 110-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles competing as the only Division III runner in the finals of both events at the VertKlasse Meeting in High Point, North Carolina. Webb turned in a time of 15.32 seconds in the 110 hurdles before registering a 55.20-second time in the 400 hurdles.

 

 
Conor Kolka, Wittenberg
(Dexter, MI/Dexter)

Wooster senior Alex DeLong (East Greenwich, RI/East Greenwich) finished in second place and was the top NCAC finisher in the 1,500-meter run at Saturday's Wooster Invitational. DeLong's time of 3:56.58 is currently tops in the conference.



Jacob Boord, Allegheny
(Greensburg, PA/Hempfield)

Allegheny sophomore Jacob Boord finished third in the javelin event at the Weems Baskin Invitational hosted by the University of South Carolina. Boord’s best throw registered 59.81 meters which currently ranks as the top mark of the season in the conference and No. 7 in Division III.

 
April 4th

 
Charlie Webb, Denison
(West Chester, PA/West Chester East)

Denison junior Charlie Webb posted a pair of top 2022 conference times in the 110-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles competing as the only Division III runner in the finals of both events at the VertKlasse Meeting in High Point, North Carolina. Webb turned in a time of 15.32 seconds in the 110 hurdles before registering a 55.20-second time in the 400 hurdles.

 

 
Alex DeLong, Wooster
(East Greenwich, RI/East Greenwich)

Wooster senior Alex DeLong finished in second place and was the top NCAC finisher in the 1,500-meter run at Saturday's Wooster Invitational. DeLong's time of 3:56.58 is currently tops in the conference.



Bennett DeCoursey, DePauw
(Zionsville, IN/Zionsville)

DePauw freshman Bennett DeCoursey won the discus throw at the WashU Invitational. DeCoursey’s throw of 50.53 meters is the top conference mark of 2022 and second-best in Division III so far this season. He also registered the second-best mark of the conference season in the shot put with a mark of 13.77 meters.

 

 

April 11th

 
Tapiwa Gono Phiri, Kenyon
(Ndola, Zambia/Hillcrest National Tech)

Kenyon first-year Tapiwa Gono Phiri chalked up a first-place finish in the 100-meter dash and then added a runner-up finish in the 200-meter dash at Saturday's Marv Frye Invitational. The rookie finished the 100 in 11.08 seconds, edging out 34 competitors while timing in at 22.28 seconds in the 200.

 

 
Logan Meyer, Allegheny
(Mount Vernon, OH/Mount Vernon)

Allegheny senior Logan Meyer won the 1,500-meter run at the Westminster Invitational. The senior broke the tape in a 43-competitor field with a time of 3:58.06. Meyer also recorded a top-five finish in the 800, timing in at 1:58.96. Both of Meyer’s times rank among the top five in the conference so far this season.



Zac Ntia, Oberlin
(Wooster, OH/Wooster)

Oberlin senior Zac Ntia recorded one first-place and two second-finishes at the Bob Kahn Invitational. The senior won the hammer and moved into second in the conference in the event with a mark of 48.54 meters. Ntia also recorded marks of 13.40 meters in the shot put and 36.92 meters in the discus.

 
April 18th

 
Leo Warbington, Wabash
(Indianapolis, IN/Lawrence Central)

Wabash senior Leo Warbington captured his first career victory in the 400-meter hurdles by winning the event at Saturday's Indiana Division III Championships held at DePauw. Warbington won the event with a time of 58.07 and added a second-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles by crossing the line in 15.56.

 

 
Levi Kilian, Ohio Wesleyan
(Ault, CO/Heritage Christian Academy)

Ohio Wesleyan junior Levi Kilian won pair of titles at the 2022 All-Ohio championship meet. The junior won the 1500-meter run in 3:56.17 which is currently the best mark in the NCAC this season. Kilian also broke the tape in the 800-meter run in 1:55.31, a time that time ranks second among conference athletes this season.



Chris Slater, Denison
(Hudson, OH/Hudson)

Denison freshman Chris Slater won the hammer throw with a program-record mark of 54.66 meters and was fourth in the shot put (12.27 meters) to help the Big Red win in a dual meet against Wooster on Wednesday. The first-year then recorded a fourth-place effort in the discus (39.30 meters) and an eighth-place finish in the shot put (12.52 meters) as Denison captured the All-Ohio Outdoor Track & Field Championship team title for the first time in program history on Saturday.

 
April 25th

 
William McMichael, Wooster
(Evanston, IL/Evanston Twp.)

Wooster senior Will McMichael broke a 22-year-old school record in the 400 meters at Saturday's Kenyon Invitational. McMichael posted an NCAC-leading time of 48.47, which ranks in the top-20 nationally. McMichael also anchored Wooster's winning 4x400 relay that checked in with a time of 3:21.12. This is McMichael's sixth NCAC Athlete of the Week honor.

 

 
Michael Ocasek, DePauw
(Northbrook, IL/Glenbrook North)

DePauw senior Michael Ocasek finished first among 29 participants in the 800-meter run at the Rose-Hulman Twilight. The senior’s time of 1:52.93 ranks first among conference athletes and 32nd in all of Division III this season.



Dylan Garretson, Wooster
(Newcomerstown, OH/Newcomerstown)

Wooster sophomore Dylan Garretson upped his pole vault school record to 4.83 meters at Saturday's Kenyon Invitational. The sophomore leads the conference and ranks 13th nationally in the event this season.

 

 

May 2nd

 
Matthew Drovdlic, Wittenberg
(Hilliard, OH/Hilliard Bradley)

Wittenberg sophomore Matthew Drovdlic  helped lead the Tiger 4x100 relay team to a victory at the Big Red Invitational with a conference-leading time of 42.74 seconds. The sophomore also logged a second-place finish in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.21 seconds.

 

 
Levi Kilian, Ohio Wesleyan
(Ault, CO/Heritage Christian Academy)

Competing at the Drake Relays, Ohio Wesleyan junior Levi Kilian won his section in the 800-meter run in a time of 1:52.91 and finished ninth overall. Kilian’s time reigns supreme in the NCAC this season.



Jacob Brown, Denison
(Dover, MA/Dover-Sherborn)

Denison senior Jacob Brown placed first overall in the decathlon at the 2022 NCAC Combined Events Championship, posting a new school record score of 6,092 points. Brown earned the decathlon win after taking first in the long jump (6.56m/21'06.25"), shot put (11.61m/38'01.25"), javelin throw (44.02m/144'05"), 110-meter hurdles (15.50) and the 1500-meter run (4:49.58), second in the 100-meter dash (11.65), third in the discus throw (30.89m/101'04"), tying for fourth in both the high jump (1.80m/5'10.75) and the pole vault (3.35m/10'11.75"), and seventh in the 400-meter dash (54.67).
