Hirt Named Denison Women's Basketball Head Coach

Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics Nan Carney-DeBord has announced the hiring of Maureen Hirt as the next Head Women's Basketball Coach at Denison University. Hirt replaces Sara Lee who stepped down in April after a 33-year tenure leading the Big Red.

Denison Wins Record 18th NCAC All-Sports Title

Denison won eight league titles in women's soccer, volleyball, men's swimming & diving, baseball, women's golf, men's lacrosse, men's tennis and women's tennis and posted 14 additional top-five finishes during the 2021-22 academic year to win its league-leading 18th North Coast Athletic Conference All-Sports Championship.

Melissa Kolbe Named Wittenberg Women's Basketball Head Coach

Springfield, Ohio -- Wittenberg University Vice President and Director of Athletics and Recreation, Brian Agler '80, announced the appointment of Melissa Kolbe '99 as the 11th Head Women's Basketball Coach in program history. Kolbe, who has spent the last four seasons as the associate head coach at the University of Cincinnati, will officially begin her tenure with the Tigers on May 1, 2022.

Denison's Lee Promoted to Senior Associate Director of Athletics

GRANVILLE, Ohio – Denison University's Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics Nan Carney-DeBord has announced that Sara Lee has been promoted to the roles of Senior Associate Director of Athletics, Deputy Title IX Coordinator for Athletics, and Senior Woman Administrator for the Big Red athletics department. Additionally, Coach Lee has announced that she is stepping down from her post as Denison's Head Women's Basketball Coach after 33 years leading the program.
